Wildfire Aware Situation Report

Provided by the National Interagency Fire Center

Isolated to scattered mixed wet and dry thunderstorms are likely from the Cascades across the Inland Northwest into the northern Rockies and northern Great Basin. Scattered to widespread wet thunderstorms and showers are likely along and east of the Divide in Montana, northern Wyoming, and eastern Idaho. Thunderstorms will extend eastward across much of the northern Plains through Minnesota and into the Midwest. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are also likely in portions of the Deep South, Florida, and central Gulf Coast. Hot, dry, and breezy conditions will continue across the Southwest, southern Great Basin, western and southern Colorado, southeast California, Texas, Oklahoma, and the Lower Mississippi Valley. Isolated dry thunderstorms are possible over the Mogollon Rim in east-central Arizona and west-central New Mexico. Above normal temperatures will continue for much of Alaska, with gusty southerly winds through the Alaska Range into the Interior. Isolated mixed wet and dry thunderstorms are likely to develop over portions of the eastern Interior and Copper Basin.

Red Flag Warnings are in effect for Central Texas into Oklahoma and south-central Colorado. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect in Northern New Mexico. The Storm Prediction Center has issued an Elevated Fire Weather area for the Southern High Plains and the Southwest Four Corners.
