Wildfire Aware Situation Report

Hot, dry, and breezy conditions will continue to impact portions of Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Monsoonal moisture will remain over large portions of the Four Corners states and provide a mix of wet and dry thunderstorms. Remnants of Tropical Storm Eugene will continue to edge northward over California and portions of Nevada, creating isolated mixed wet and dry thunderstorms, mainly in the Sierra. Warming and drying will continue across the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies with locally breezy and dry offshore winds along portions of the Oregon Cascades. Alaska will experience gusty east winds and drier conditions across the Interior, favoring the Tanana Valley, while some thunderstorms will be possible across western portions of the state. Thunderstorms will be active once again across the Atlantic Coast states and Ohio Valley.

Red Flag Warnings remain in effect for large portions of Texas. A mix of Red Flag Warnings and Fire Weather Watches are in effect for Western Washington, Oregon, and far Northwestern California. The Storm Prediction Center has issued an area elevated fire weather concern for Texas for another day.
